In just a few short hours I will be 24! Ahhhhh! We just pulled some gingerbread cookies out of the oven. They are actually ginger kitties and candy canes, and a snowman. And some hearts, and a 'R' and 'D'. I don't actually have men cut outs. Debating whether or not to ice them. I have never iced cookies before. I am not even sure what type of icing to use. Regular? I have some regular icing. Or do you need a kind? Hmmmmm.

Big day tomorrow. We got our turkey out tonight to try and finish thawing it. Its a little guy. About 6 or 7 pounds. We figured with just the two of us, it would be justttt right. With not too much leftovers. We are also making sweet potato casserole, buttery corn, and stuffing. We have apple pie, cherry pie, and birthday cake for dessert.
My AMAZING friend Bethany sent me a cheesecake from South Carolina for my birthday. I love her. I am saving the cheesecake for the big "D" that is coming right around the corner. Its frozen cheesecake, so I figure each week I will pull down a slice to thaw and enjoy it. It will give me something to look forward to each week. And I will feel a little bit of love eating it, knowing Bethany thought of me :) Of course I know it won't last 4 months, but it will take up a nice chunk of time. Let's see if I can keep my self control and do that though!
How can I say no to this??
I am going to attempt to stay awake until midnight. We are old timers though, so we shall see!
