We are very nearing the end of this pregnancy, and boy is it coming fast. Today marks Baby Moore growing in there for 31 weeks! She is now over a 3 pounder! My weight gain hit 20 pounds today. I had high hopes for not gaining more than 20, but the doctors estimated 25-35 pounds for a weight gain. Boo. I have stayed very active. I aim to work out 2-3 times a week with cardio, and strength training. I jogged all the way until week 29 of my pregnancy. I was jogging on speed 5, and breaking it up between 3 intervals to hit 1.5 miles-2 miles, depending on my energy for the day. Starting week 30, I switched over to 35 minutes on the elliptical for cardio. This was I can keep a better watch on my heart rate. I program it in there to stay under 140, and just have at it. I still do the majority of my strength training exercises, but I did modify them for the now massive belly. I'd like to continue this workout all the way until I am 36 weeks, and then most likely, I will have to re modify it all again. LOL I just keep telling myself this is for an easier labor, and a quicker recovery, and I will be so thankful once Baby Moore is out!
Speaking of still calling her Baby Moore.... yes... she is still nameless. We cannot decide for the life of us on a name. It's just to much pressure. We want her name to flow, and have cool initials, but mean something special, but also I want to have her named after family members. I now see why my brother ended up with 3 middle names. Since she is a miracle baby, because those pesky doctors insisted I would never conceive naturally, I really really want her name to mean something along the lines of Miracle, or God's Gift. Shayna means God is gracious, and also means beautiful. Natalie Shayna Moore?
And if you are curious, the Natalie/Natalee debate continues. I want the Natalee, but it looks like I may not win. Natalie is the one name we both agree on, have liked since 2007, and it means born on Christmas, so it would kinda be like naming her after me. One of us will have to compromise, but people who mention it spell it the way David likes, so the little jerk just may end up winning this time.
Speaking of Daddy Jerk ;) He is now officially home from deployment! He still is working, so every third day he leaves in the morning, and returns the next day. But still, it is so nice to have him home again. His cat Hyde is still adjusting. He doesn't know whether to be angry at him for leaving him for 4 months, or be thankful he has returned. Teddy is excited to have him home. David is just another hand to pet him!
Since David's arrival, it has been non stop trying to prepare for Baby Moore. I know it isn't logical bc most pregnancies go full term, but I keep having this fear she is going to decide she wants to come early. So I would like to have everything ready by the end of May. Also, David's boat will be going out again twice before her due date. I can't really say the dates, but it still doesn't make for much baby preparing time.
We also discovered the Navy is moving us to New Hampshire come late August! Moving with a 2 month old! Wow, look at the excitement on my face! This has made planning difficult as well. What should we buy now, what should wait until after we move? We want the Navy to move us, so we can't be adding a whole bunch of weight. So no crib. We bought a pack and play that has a bassinet in it, and she will sleep in that for two months. We are also waiting on all bouncers, play yards, or opening up her high chairs and other 4 month + baby stuff.
When we move, we are praying so hard that the military housing there will provide us with a 3 bedroom. It will make our lives much easier. With the baby we simply cannot squeeze back into a 2 bedroom, nor could we end up affording what we have become accustomed to living on base out in town. I doubt a 3 bedroom, with your own yard, and garage will be in our BAH range. LOL. So everyone pray that we will be provided for!
Ok enough stalling now... Here is biggo me!!!
