Dear Kid...

Dear Kid,

Please get off my rib cage. It is not there for you to place your butt against. Nor is it there for you to snuggle up and get stuck in. Those are bones, and Mommy kinda needs you outta this area, ya know, so I can breathe for the both of us.

Love,
Your out of breathe Mommy

The Baby Belly - 31 Weeks.

We are very nearing the end of this pregnancy, and boy is it coming fast. Today marks Baby Moore growing in there for 31 weeks! She is now over a 3 pounder! My weight gain hit 20 pounds today. I had high hopes for not gaining more than 20, but the doctors estimated 25-35 pounds for a weight gain. Boo. I have stayed very active. I aim to work out 2-3 times a week with cardio, and strength training. I jogged all the way until week 29 of my pregnancy. I was jogging on speed 5, and breaking it up between 3 intervals to hit 1.5 miles-2 miles, depending on my energy for the day. Starting week 30, I switched over to 35 minutes on the elliptical for cardio. This was I can keep a better watch on my heart rate. I program it in there to stay under 140, and just have at it. I still do the majority of my strength training exercises, but I did modify them for the now massive belly. I'd like to continue this workout all the way until I am 36 weeks, and then most likely, I will have to re modify it all again. LOL I just keep telling myself this is for an easier labor, and a quicker recovery, and I will be so thankful once Baby Moore is out!

Speaking of still calling her Baby Moore.... yes... she is still nameless. We cannot decide for the life of us on a name. It's just to much pressure. We want her name to flow, and have cool initials, but mean something special, but also I want to have her named after family members. I now see why my brother ended up with 3 middle names. Since she is a miracle baby, because those pesky doctors insisted I would never conceive naturally, I really really want her name to mean something along the lines of Miracle, or God's Gift. Shayna means God is gracious, and also means beautiful. Natalie Shayna Moore?

And if you are curious, the Natalie/Natalee debate continues. I want the Natalee, but it looks like I may not win. Natalie is the one name we both agree on, have liked since 2007, and it means born on Christmas, so it would kinda be like naming her after me. One of us will have to compromise, but people who mention it spell it the way David likes, so the little jerk just may end up winning this time.

Speaking of Daddy Jerk ;) He is now officially home from deployment! He still is working, so every third day he leaves in the morning, and returns the next day. But still, it is so nice to have him home again. His cat Hyde is still adjusting. He doesn't know whether to be angry at him for leaving him for 4 months, or be thankful he has returned. Teddy is excited to have him home. David is just another hand to pet him!

Since David's arrival, it has been non stop trying to prepare for Baby Moore. I know it isn't logical bc most pregnancies go full term, but I keep having this fear she is going to decide she wants to come early. So I would like to have everything ready by the end of May. Also, David's boat will be going out again twice before her due date. I can't really say the dates, but it still doesn't make for much baby preparing time.

We also discovered the Navy is moving us to New Hampshire come late August! Moving with a 2 month old! Wow, look at the excitement on my face! This has made planning difficult as well. What should we buy now, what should wait until after we move? We want the Navy to move us, so we can't be adding a whole bunch of weight. So no crib. We bought a pack and play that has a bassinet in it, and she will sleep in that for two months. We are also waiting on all bouncers, play yards, or opening up her high chairs and other 4 month + baby stuff.

When we move, we are praying so hard that the military housing there will provide us with a 3 bedroom. It will make our lives much easier. With the baby we simply cannot squeeze back into a 2 bedroom, nor could we end up affording what we have become accustomed to living on base out in town. I doubt a 3 bedroom, with your own yard, and garage will be in our BAH range. LOL. So everyone pray that we will be provided for!

Ok enough stalling now... Here is biggo me!!!

Guess who's home???

DAVID IS HOME FROM DEPLOYMENT!!!!

After a long four months, David has finally returned home from deployment! I was so excited to see him! The homecoming event was huge. There were news reporters and radio crew covering the event, plus venders offering free food from all over, and tons and tons of excited wives and family members anxiously waiting the boat's arrival. David was actually one of the first off the boat, so that was pretty exciting. Of course, I have many pictures, which I will find a way to share, but I think the most priceless one is when David is asked what he thinks of my now 7 month pregnant belly [He left before I was even 3 months] .....

"Whoa, there's a baby in there!"

7 months. 28 weeks. BELLY GOT BAMMING BIG

So yes. I have been very awful at updating. I even almost forgot to take pictures this week. That would have been a tragedy though bc guess what. I got HUGE! I ached on my insides like something was stretching to no end, and it itchy itchy itched, and then I started waking up going, hmmmmm something feels mmuuuucccchhh heavier down there? And so 3 days into my 28th week, I put on my belly taking cloths, and guess what. Some major changes.

Pants still fit :)

Just random phone pics from yesterday and today

So the baby belly has been very odd this week. At moments she sticks way out there, like she is trying to say "Hello World, I am growing in here, and coming at ya this summer", but then other moments, she is all sucked in somewhere. How this happens I have no idea? It is the strangest thing.

I have noticed she comes out the most when I eat, or after a workout. As proof, I snapped this picture in the gym bathroom with my phone. I took this yesterday afternoon.

See, there is a baby there!

And here is another phone picture from this morning. I hardly ever wear make up [I don't know how to apply it, or match colors, or even match what color I would be] But I do like eye liner. It's been such a long time since I last wore make up though, that I lost my eyeliner probably back in February of 2009. LOL. But I was hoping to find something not to expensive to wear when David comes home. Homecoming is a big deal, with lots of photos, and news crews, and I would like to look pretty for it :) Then last night at Target, I found a fancy waterproof eyeliner with a $4 off coupon. I thought waterproof would be perfect, since I want something to spruce myself up for the day David comes home, and odds are I will be crying that day. So this morning, I tried my hand at applying the eyeliner, and a bit of mascara [also waterproof with a $4 off coupon]

Whatta think?

So now I just need to find that face base stuff to make my face all creamy and pretty, and some lip coloring. Hehe
